How much does a concrete driveway cost in Toowoomba?+
Plain reinforced concrete starts at around $95/m² supplied and installed. Exposed aggregate runs $130–$160/m². Coloured/stamped concrete starts at $145/m². Final pricing depends on size, access, ground prep and reinforcement requirements.
How long does a concrete driveway last?+
A properly engineered, reinforced and cured concrete driveway will last 30+ years in Toowoomba. The biggest factors are correct base prep, proper control joints and 32 MPa concrete with SL72 mesh.
What's the best concrete finish for a sloped driveway?+
Exposed aggregate is the gold standard for slopes — the textured surface is naturally non-slip, even when wet. We pour a lot of these in Range, Mount Lofty and Withcott.
Can you pour over my old driveway?+
Sometimes — if the slab is structurally sound and we have height clearance. Usually it's better long-term to remove and replace, since overlays can debond. We'll assess on-site.
Do I need council approval for a new driveway?+
For replacements within the same footprint, usually no. New crossovers and any work in the road reserve need approval from Toowoomba Regional Council. We can help with the application.
How long until I can drive on my new driveway?+
Walk on after 24 hours. Drive a passenger vehicle after 7 days. Heavy vehicles and trucks after 28 days (full cure).
Why does concrete crack and how do you prevent it?+
Concrete shrinks as it cures. We control where it cracks by cutting control joints at the right spacing (typically every 3–4m), using SL72 reinforcement, and curing the slab properly with an evaporation retardant.
Do you offer a warranty?+
Yes — every job we pour comes with a 10-year structural workmanship warranty in addition to all manufacturer warranties on sealers and decorative finishes.
Are you licensed and insured?+
Yes — we hold a current QBCC licence (QBCC #0000000) and $20M public liability insurance. Certificates available on request.
How quickly can you start?+
Lead time varies by season — typically 2–4 weeks from quote acceptance. We can sometimes squeeze in smaller jobs faster.
Do you do shed slabs?+
Yes — we pour engineer-certified shed slabs to your manufacturer's specs and supply Form 16 for council. From small garden sheds to 24×12 industrial workshops.
